Eric Paslay Joins Board of Directors of JDRF Middle Tennessee
Nashville (September 5, 2019) – It was announced today that GRAMMY nominated artist Eric Paslay has joined the board of directors of JDRF (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Additional incoming members include Craig Hodges (President & CEO, CarePayment), Joe Orlando (Regional Service and Sales Manager, Renasant Bank), Burt Powers (Sr. Director, Dell), Jill Simmons (Professor of Pediatrics, Vanderbilt University Medical Center), Ashok Sudarshan (COO, Magellan Healthcare), Melissa Toyos (Partner, Toyos Clinic), and Travis Walters (Managing Partner, Green Hills Pediatric Associates).
“JDRF is an incredible organization that has always been on the front lines of T1D research,” says Eric. “I know I’ve benefited from those who have served before me on the JDRF Board Of Directors and I hope to do the same for the T1D community.”
In April of this year, Eric was honored at the 19th Annual JDRF Promise Gala as the T1D Champion Award Honoree. The event was attended by 800 guests and raised $1.5 million dollars. This summer Eric launched the “Level with Me” podcast to discuss living with the challenges that come with managing Type 1 diabetes (T1D).
Eric is currently overseas on his “Nice Guy Tour” through October 2 and has just released a new live album, LIVE IN GLASGOW, available to fans attending the tour. The project was recorded during Eric’s tour in Europe last summer and contains 10 of his most treasured songs including four of his five #1 penned hits.
