Eric Paslay’s “Heartbeat Higher” Music Video
Exclusively Premieres on
People.com
Nashville – May 8, 2020 – Eric Paslay released a new song for his fans and exclusively premiered the song’s music video on People.com earlier today. “Heartbeat Higher,” written by Eric, Zach Crowell and Sarah Buxton, also featuring Sarah, is the first of new material anticipated through this summer by the Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter. The video, directed by Timothy Hiele, was filmed during the recording process and in Stockholm, Sweden during Eric’s “Nice Guy Tour” late last year. “We shot the video in the studio when we were recording and also on tour in Stockholm last fall,” said Eric. “We did have plans to grab some additional footage with Sarah in March right after the C2C tour wrapped, but the back half of that tour got cancelled to keep everyone safe and healthy so it only made sense to cancel filming as well. I’m really happy with the video and grateful we captured it before covid19.”
“I love ‘Heartbeat Higher.’ I’m a romantic guy. Everyone loves a great love song, right??” shared Eric. “Seriously, I write them all the time but don’t think that my previous singles have really shown this side of me. ‘Let’s turn a sunset kiss into a midnight choir’ is one of those lines that continues to intrigue me. I expect the idea behind that line always will.”
Eric performed “Heartbeat Higher” and some of his hits during American Songwriter’s Facebook Live series “Behind The Mic” last week and during Tuesday’s Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s weekly Instagram “Songwriter Sessions.”
This summer, Eric will tour the U.S. around the release of his new music and will join The Shires tour in the United Kingdom launching on October 21 in Bedford, UK.
