Mitchell Tenpenny Releases Impactful New Song Today
“HERE”
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (April TEN, 2020) – Riser House/Columbia Nashville artist Mitchell Tenpenny has been busy lately writing and recording new music. While America shelters in place through the COVID-19 pandemic, Mitchell’s choosing to release one of the new songs to his fans today. “HERE” written by Mitchell, Jordan Schmidt and Marc Beeson, offers an optimistic view that life should be experienced to the fullest, ‘feel it all, do everything I want while I’m here.’ Mitchell previewed a snippet of the song during a recent #TenpennyTuesdays LIVE Q&A session with his fans on Instagram.
“When I went into my writing session the day we wrote this song, the guys asked me what I had been up to,” says Mitchell. “I had been working on the truck my Dad left me when he passed. I was just overly aware that life can be short and it left me with this feeling that all we have is right here, right now.”
Mitchell plans to continue the #TenpennyTuesdays sessions through the month of April and teases more new music might be shared by summer when he hits the road on Jason Aldean’s “We Back Tour.”
On October TENth, Mitchell will headline his first concert at the Ryman Auditorium with show proceeds going to the 10Penny Fund in partnership with Sarah Cannon. Go to www.mitchell10penny.com for more details.
