Nashville, Tenn. – (October 23,2020)To ring in the holiday season, Riser House/Columbia Nashville artist Mitchell Tenpenny shared his Christmas-themed EP, Neon Christmas today. The seven-track project, produced by Lindsay Rimes and Jordan Schmidt, includes three original songs, “Snow Angels,” “Naughty List,” and the EP’s title track, which Tenpenny wrote with Rimes and Matt Rogers. Filling out the holiday set are the four Christmas classics “Joy To The World,” “Let It Snow,” “O Holy Night,” and Tenpenny’s personal favorite, “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.” Get it HERE.
“That’s always been one of my favorite songs,”
Tenpenny says of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.” “It just makes me feel
like sitting in front of a fire or watching an old Christmas movie at my
family’s house. I knew I could take and make that song more of my own too,
which can be hard with Christmas songs.”
Recently,
Tenpenny has spread holiday season cheer in other ways – on October 10, he
hosted a live streaming concert and two sold-out, in-person shows at
Nashville’s Listening Room to raise money for his 10Penny Fund. The
events raised $23,895.47 including a
$10,000 match from Sarah Cannon, the Cancer Institute of HCA Healthcare, his
partner in the 10Penny Fund, and a $2,000 donation from Sony Music
Nashville labelmate/friend Chris Young.

About Mitchell Tenpenny
Since he released his debut single, “Drunk Me,” in early 2018, Riser
House/Columbia Nashville artist Mitchell Tenpenny has set new
standards for breakout success in country music. The 2X Platinum-certified, No.
1 hit was taken from his introductory album, Telling All My Secrets,
which arrived in December 2018 and earned him the best first week showing for
any major label country debut LP of that year. To date, “Drunk Me” has amassed
over 383 million on-demand streams. In February 2019, the “winning” singer
(the New York Times) was nominated for New Male Artist of the
Year at the ACM Awards and Breakthrough Video (“Drunk Me”) at the CMT Music
Awards.
Later that year, he kicked off his first
headlining concert series, the “Anything She Says Tour,” with labelmates and award-winning duo Seaforth joining as support.
Seaforth is also featured on the gold-selling song, “Anything She Says.” In the past few months, the singer-songwriter released two
fan favorites: “Can’t Go To Church” and “Here.” With his latest offering,
“Broken Up,” Tenpenny revisits one of his signature themes: breaking
up. But this time, with his swooning tenor over a propulsive beat, he looks
inward, taking ownership of his feelings to craft one of his most personal
releases to date
